Here's the group picture from Saturday night in Richardson, TX. The Spiegel's hosted and we had a great time singing in their living room. I was getting sick though and I shouldn't have sung but I did anyway and on the drive back to our homestead in Emory I could barely even speak. So for the next two days I decided to take a vow of silence. Actually I kind of enjoyed the challenge of communicating primarily in hand gestures or just being quiet.

Below you can see what I good time we had just relaxing with our dear friend Anna at her home. She took such great care of us. Of course, there was that one night of adventure when we got locked out in the rain and cold. We gave up in the end and around 3am laid our sleepy heads down in the local Best Western. We were so thankful to have a couple of days of rest before heading to Waco for the next show. We went mud riding on golf carts through the cattle pastures, almost lit an epic bonfire, listened to old records, and cooked an amazing steak dinner together. Thanks Anna, for your friendship and hospitality!

Tonight we enjoyed playing at University Baptist Church in Waco. I ventured to sing several songs and I my voice held up pretty well. Thankfully Abbye covered one of my songs for me! I hope that by singing tonight I didn't use up all my singing for the rest of the week. We'll get good rest tonight at our friends Crystal and Wes's here at Baylor. Wes is a professional photographer (www.wtkphotography.com) and Crystal is Resident Hall director on campus. They are taking good care us us tonight. Wes also makes really amazing salsa. Very spicy. I ate far too much of it. I get carried away with spicy food.
Thanks Waco folks!
On to San Antonio tomorrow to see old friends and play in another living room. Remember to follow Abbye's blog: www.thewaywewander.blogspot.com
